FAQs

• Where can I find toilets?

  Public toilets, including gender neutral and baby changing facilities are available at Coal Drops Yard and West Handyside Canopy (near Waitrose). All toilets are wheelchair accessible.

• Is there free WiFi?

  At King’s Cross, WiFi is free to everyone. All the time. Just connect to ‘King’s Cross N1C’ and complete the registration. You can login via Facebook, Twitter, or simply enter your email address.

• Are the fountains on?

  The Granary Square fountains are on, with intermittent low-level display and pooling settings. We want to ensure everyone can enjoy the fountains safely, so please play your part to keep yourself, your family and others safe by practicing social distancing while enjoying the fountains.

• Who do I contact if I've lost something?

  If you lost or left your belongings on a train, bus or at a railway station click here to go through to TfL’s lost property form.

  For property lost on the King’s Cross estate, please contact the King’s Cross Welcome Hub, or visit us at Unit 5, 3 Pancras Square. The hub is located just opposite the entrance to Cafe Bao and Hoppers on Pancras Square.

   

• Where can I find bike hire and bike parking?

  There are several Santander Cycle docking stations in and around King’s Cross. Brompton Lime and Jump bike hire are also available.

  There are more than 100 bike parking spaces at King’s Cross. Visit the On Your Bike page for more information on cycling at King’s Cross.

  We also offer free bike MOTs on the first Wednesday of every month at Battle Bridge Place just outside the stations.

• Where can I find parking?

  You’ll find the Handyside Car Park, a 231 bay multi-storey car park in the Tapestry building on Canal Reach. Opening hours for the public are 8:00-22:00 Monday-Sunday, including bank holidays.

  Local 24/7 parking can be found within St Pancras railway station. More info here.

  Additional parking can be found at the NCP car park on Judd Street, WC1H 9QR, near to St Pancras Station or on the Lomax-operated car park on Pratt Street, NW1 0LY.

• Where can I charge my car?

  There are six charging points for electric cars in the Handyside Car Park on Canal Reach. From 1st April 2022 they will be charged at 25p per hour  and payment is to be made through the Pod Point App only which is available to download on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

• Is King's Cross pet-friendly?

  Four-legged friends are welcome at King’s Cross. Here you find a list of dog-friendly venues in the neighbourhood. If you’re snapping pics of your pup to share on Instagram, be sure to tag with #DogsofCDY.

• What are the opening hours?

  King’s Cross is open to the public at all times. Coal Drops Yard is open to visitors between 10am and 11pm. Please check the individual shop and restaurant pages for opening hours and more information.

• Is King's Cross wheelchair accessible?

  The majority of King’s Cross is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp down to the canal towpath behind The Lighterman restaurant and Coal Drops Yard can be accessed directly from the towpath. The public toilets are wheelchair accessible. Lifts and ramps are available at Coal Drops Yard.

• Is there disabled parking in King's Cross?

  There are 9 disabled parking bays that you can find at the following locations:

  • 2 bays at 12 Handyside Street, N1c 4DN
  • 3 bays outside of N1C Centre, Plimsoll Building, Handyside Street, N1C 4BQ
  • 1 bay on Beaconsfield Street, N1C 4AD
  • 3 spaces at Battle Bridge Place providing access to the station for Blue Badge holders
• Are there any ATM machines in King's Cross?

  There are three ATMs located at Coal Drops Yard on Level 2 (Viaduct). You can find them to the left of Beyond Retro, beside the lifts.

• Can I charge my phone anywhere?

  There are two mobile phone power-bank rental stations in King’s Cross provided by ChargedUp:

  • Coal Drops Yard at Lower Stable Street. To the right of Caravan, underneath the archway.
  • At Coal Drops Yard on Level 2 (Viaduct). To the left of Beyond Retro, beside the lifts.

  Phone charging at King’s Cross is provided to shoppers by ChargedUp, the UK’s biggest power-bank rental network.
