Inside the Grade II-listed building, the huge restaurant is a sophisticated, all-day dining spot.
Emma Henderson, The Independent
The restaurant serves an eclectic mix of modern British comfort food and international dishes. The extensive menu featuring the likes of lobster linguine, blackened cod, and a much-loved classics section with the brasserie’s take on shepherd’s pie, breaded chicken and fish and chips.
Breakfast is served from 8.30 am on weekdays. At the weekend, brunch is on offer from 11am, accompanied by champagne, wine or cocktails, with a live DJ providing the perfect laidback soundtrack.
The 160-seater eatery is divided loosely into sections. The lounge area, with its vintage leather bucket chairs and low brass tables, is perfect for lunch or informal meetings, while the pretty terrace outside is a delightful spot to have an early morning coffee while the city wakes.
The décor in this Grade II-listed space comes into its own at night – with stunning cut-glass pendant lights, and banquettes upholstered in velvet and silk. Perch at the striking art deco-style central bar to survey the scene and enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif.
